1 Month old Pics and Curly Bows!

I am so excited to report that I have learned to make bows!! Wish I would have learned how before I bought $50 in bows for Olivia...but that's okay. With the help of Kari and a website, I experimented and made a bow for Olivia to wear for her 1 month old pics. Picture session was a little stressful. Olivia has not learned that this is apart of life. I tell her everyday, "As a woman you must understand that Beauty can be Painful!" She will understand this better down the road but I figure I might as well start teaching her now. lol Overall we did get some cute pics most of them just tended to be when she was sleeping. I had really hoped to get one smiling (she just started doing "reactive smile" as opposed to "gassy smile". So cute!) No such luck with smiles but I still like them. Check a few of them out!

Olivia and Mommy update

Olivia is 3 weeks today!! Amazing how fast time goes by. It has been a busy three weeks. Last weekend I had to attend a continuing education seminar in Boise. NOT my dream come true 12 days after a C section. My mom met me in Boise and watched Olivia while I was in the conference. Jamie, Kynzi, and my grandparents also came up to Boise. BJ came down the last day and we went to Twin Falls for the week. We took a drive to Sun Valley, Shoshone Falls and the South Hills to show BJ the area.

Olivia is growing so fast I can hardly believe it. I haven't weighed her so I don't know exactly but I am guessing 8 1/2 to 9lbs. Her cheeks are so chubby! She is still wearing newborn clothes but they finally fit instead of hang off her. She is having gas problems from the formula. We started putting gas drops in every bottle. I thought that was too much but the dr said it was okay.

Easter Picture

Happy Easter!
Baby Olivia is growing like crazy. She had a follow up appt yesterday and weighed 7lbs 10oz! I can't believe in ten days she gained 1lb. She is eating like crazy. We had to start on bottles because my milk never came in. It was disappointing but she is doing good on the formula and growing!
I have a dr appt today because I keep running a fever and getting chills. We are not sure where the infection is because my incision doesn't look infected. Dr thinks it might be in my uterus which I am hoping it is not because it can be serious if not treated fast. Other than that I am trying to not be depressed about how fat I look. I hope this weight comes off soon or at least enough I don't want to cry every time I look in the mirror.

More pics of Princess Olivia

Aunt Jamie bought her this adorable bracelet. It looks so cute on her! She was so happy to go to her first dr appt. Her weight was back up to 7lbs. Dr says she looks GREAT. I am having some problems. My swelling has gotten much worse so she gave me some diuretics to try to lose some of it. I also started a fever this morning and she thinks my incision might be getting an infection so I started on some antibiotics. I hope it starts improving

Pictures of Olivia Marie

1. Getting ready for the C section.
2. First time I got to hold her...a little overwhelmed.
3. First few minutes old.
4. Leaving the hospital (not a fan of this pic, you really see how horrible you can look).
5.First skin to skin contact in Recovery Room breastfeeding...she made an "I LOVE YOU" hand on my chest and I was sure it was for all "my" hardwork.

Happy Birthday OLIVIA MARIE BEZDICEK!!!!

She is HERE!!!! Born April 3, 2009 at 7:23a.m. 7 lbs 5 oz

BJ, my mom, and I went to the hospital Thursday night at 5pm to start the induction process. After receiving the Cytotec to help start the dilation process, I started having cramping and contractions. All of which were productive! By midnight things started going down hill, the contractions were lasting a couple minutes with 30 sec breaks in between. I was starting to lose it! BJ did a great job as a coach keeping me calm and my mom was comforting. It's amazing how you never get too old to need your mom when you don't feel good! I was only at a 3 so they gave me an IV injection of pain meds. It helped and I was able to rest for about 45 min. But when those min were over the pain was unbearable and I started to get nauseated. The contractions were coming every 20 sec and lasting for 2 min. I was suddenly dilated to a 5 and I got my epidural! This was the best thing EVER!!!! I have no idea why you wouldn't get one of those. At 4am my water broke and it was green. She had pooped. Unfortunately the contractions kept getting worse and she wasnt tolerating it. Her heart rate kept dropping. It became scary. The nurses were racing around rolling me in the bed and pumping fluids. Within 15 min we were in surgery for a C sect. The drs had her out in another 10 min and she was screaming. Her vitals were good. They never determined what caused her to be distressed. She was born at 7:23 am 7lbs 5 oz 19.6 inches.

We are still in the hospital we thought we would leave today but I am not ready. I am incredibly sore! Not loving the recovery process. I can do so little and she is demanding. Breast feeding is a much bigger challenge then I thought it would be. Her weight has dropped which is frustrasting. She is down to 6lbs 9 oz., she has lost 10 % of her birth weight. We started giving her a bottle until my milk comes in.

Need some sleep but I will post more when I can.

It is TIME!! TOMORROW we *might* have a baby!

Tomorrow we have the last pregnancy dr appt. We go in at 11:45 for a dr check and to have my membranes stripped. Afterwards we are going to the hospital for the inducing medicine. I don't know if they will have to keep me or if they will send me home for awhile and then come back. I am nervous for the process. I wish it would have happened natural but I am glad to be done. I am so excited to see our little Olivia. I just hope she is healthy and cute would be good too! :) I am hoping my next post will be full of some horrible post delivery pics of me, Olivia, and family.
